Scaffold Hazard Awareness

A Scaffold is a temporary structure, typically made of metal tubing, used to support workers and/or materials in construction. Working on scaffolds, including the setup and tear down is one of the most hazardous tasks in construction. Workers must have completed a valid Fall Protection/Working at Heights program prior to attending this course.

This Training is for:

Any worker who is going set up, work on, or dismantle a scaffold. Participants will learn proper practices and procedures for safe use of all aspects of scaffolds.

Participants will learn:

  • To identify the Hazards and Controls

  • Legislative requirements

  • Safe Practices and Procedures.

A Hands-On element for this program is available with equipment on site.

PREREQUISITE: Completion of Working at Heights/Fall Protection

DURATION: Approximately 3-4hrs of in class participation.
